Are there any cameras/lenses out there that replicate the human visual experience of our environment? As in, large, peripheral vision? I've noticed that my slightly panorama photos (just barely panned further right and left than a normal photo) of distant objects feel very much like I'm there, and I'm guessing it's because they resemble the way people actually take in information. Presumably a lens/camera could be constructed that would replicate this effect.
