It's not portrait photography either as it isn't client based, nor are they posed - they are not designed to make the subject look good, the fact they "don't know how to act in front of a camera" is not relevant, these capture people at their most vulnerable, caught off guard in public with a stranger right in their face with a giant camera asking them to "look normal", I specifically asked them to not "smile for the camera".
They were also shot either wide open or stopped down one stop.
