Ok, Story time!
I started photography years ago with a T1i, It's been on and off until about half a year ago when I had a better job (before covid and uni hit hard) and I decided to jump head first in to photography, And it's the best decision I've made to date. Anyway, I digress, let me get on to the slightly more useful information;
I ended up getting rid of my t1i and having no camera for a few months, After getting tired of that I decided to pour a good ¾ of my pay into a body (I don't recommend this), I decided to get a Nikon D7500, which I scored for $900 with kit lens, box and transferable warranty from the LCS it was bought from.
After relearning the basics and starting to learn more advanced techniques with the kit lens, I ended up getting a 70-300 vr, Which was my favorite purchase yet, And now I'm taking pretty decent pictures for only about 3 months of actual practice, So anyone who doesn't know anything can become great with a little bit of practice.
As far as recommendations go, Nikon and Canon are basically at a standstill in camera development, So don't let marketing make you spend another $300 more than you should be, Anything released in the last 5-10 years is probably a good place to start, I'd also say don't make my mistake and only look for a high end body, I honestly would rather have a D5xxx if I got a tripod, lenses and bag with the deal.
tldr Get a Camera bundle if you can, not just the body, And make sure to remember what body and features you have, doesn't necessarily make you a better photographer
