>mobility Traveling any sort of long distance by anything other than your own vehicle with a full frame DSLR is a pain in the ass without specialized cases which are stupidly expensive if you want to carry more than one or two lenses.
>discretion Many places, especially in Europe, will ask you to leave if you are shooting with a DSLR, even something like a Pentax k3 or a d500. I couldn’t shoot in many places in Eastern Europe with my film slr, tiny in comparison. I was always fine with my xt2 and 27mm pancake.
>out of the wayMirrorless apsc and mft are a godsend for going out with friends, traveling long distance, and as companion cameras for primarily film shooters. It’s a pain in the ass carrying even a small slr like a rebel when you can fit a gx85 in your pocket or in your slr bag.
You can go more places easily and shoot photos you otherwise wouldn’t be able to with mirrorless systems. I use both because they’re great for different situations. You wouldn’t bring a nikon d850 to a bar or party unless you’re a supremoautismo and you wouldn’t bring a gx85 to shoot fast moving low light stuff where you’d benefit from an ovf. All formats are great in their own ways don’t be a divisive redditor shitting up the board with spam shitposts.
