Smaller resolution inherently sharpens images. Makes them look better focused than they actually are. You missed focus quite clearly in

It's kind of like being a busboy at a restaurant in Vegas.
Blaming the artists for being boring is a cop-out. All music contains emotion when performed live, the issue is your timing and your awareness as well as your defensive pride, which is why you're going to pretend I'm just trying to insult your precious hide.
