If anything, I'd prefer if Sony make a 100-135mm macro that improves on the 90mm, or maybe something crazy like the canon 135mm T/S Macro. The 90mm is nice but too close to the 85mm for me to justify buying. I'd rather just buy a Laowa 2x macro instead. I wouldn't be surprised if the 3rd parties had some talks with Sony to decide which lenses would sell and they should make. Tamron almost certainly does since their lineup just seems weird but also fills in the gaps for the most part. I suspect Sigma does as well which might be why they didn't bother with a 70-200 f/2.8. The 1st gen Sony is so cheap now it's probably pointless for Sigma to compete there.
