The only times I have had gear actually change the colors in pictures post-2013 were all when switching lenses or drastically different sensor formats. The difference between some lenses can be drastic. Like sony/zeiss, sony g/gm, minolta AF, and sony entry level lenses all form homogenous "tribes" but between them the photos look insanely different and are changed too much for matching them to be time efficient, or even possible if using high ISOs. The zeiss in particular render certain greens and skin tones in an unmistakable way thats obvious with irl object context and i actually think the original sony colors complaints happened because their early cameras were calibrated for the zeiss T* coating.
