At the end of the day, it's pretty hard to control your environment in the city, if I only took shots without signs/cars/other shit out of my control, it wouldn't represent the environment I'm in at all, so I don't let those make or break a shot.
The ever elusive The Moment™ is always the goal, but for every 1 of those you'll get 20 that miss the mark (if you're lucky, haha).
It's interesting to me that you pointed out that she's hot, which isn't really something I think of when taking photos.
