And what do you mean "much more expensive" lenses? The Fuji 16-55mm f/2.8 is $1,200 and the Sony 24-70mm f/2.8 is $2,200. They both cover the same focal range on their respective APS-C and full frame bodies, yet one is almost double the price.
Also, you don't need an upgrade path if you are already at the endgame. Just goes to show how Sony gimps their cameras to convince retards that they need a better, more expensive one down the road.
