This cuckoo wasp is really difficult to get a good photo of. None of my lenses can actually resolve the colorful body very well. The eyes will be in focus, but the way the lighting plays on the divots in the body they end up looking blurred anyway. Evidently, patterns like this in nature confuse other insects. In order to get a good photo, I'd need a better lens and of course better lighting. Then again, pressing the lenses with absurd lengths of extension tubing doesn't help things, but it is fun.
>>3322561>>3322595Having a ruler with millimeters on it is nice when playing around with new toys. You still need to use something to measure the pixels of the millimeter for each image and calculate that for how wide each pixel is then how many comprise the entire image and all that.
