>>3601264>I am worried about the low dynamic range of BW film and I really want these shots to come out nice?Don't be. B&W is very easy to manage contrast with, in development. Pull it one stop, i.e. set the camera at half the iso that's on the box, and then reduce dev time by ~15% (look up your film+dev combo in massivedevchart for accurate times).
You'll a negative will nice shadows and midtones, and it's practically impossible to blow the highlights with this method.
Do you have an Olympus OM body or pic unrelated? If it's an OM2 or OM4 (or OM40 I think), use olympus' dedicated flash (T20, T32) as those can do TTL off the film metering.
If otherwise, use a thyristor flash.
If you don't have much experience with flashes, and no flashmeter handy, don't go guessing flash exposures. A vivitar 283 or 285 is cheap, powerful and you can bounce it. On top of being thyristor of course, giving you good exposures.
About film don't worry too much, just stay with the mainstream low-medium speed ones and don't get something weird.
