Almost all of my b/w printing is darkroom enlargements. Digital prints, even from film scans, seem to be lacking something. Idk what, the contrast never looks right. I also really enjoy the process of developing film and prints.
Anything over 11x14 I print digitally since it's basically impossible to make a sharp darkroom print larger than that. The lens aren't sharp enough, it vinettes, etc. I generally print flatter, with mostly grey tones. I don't like deep blacks or pure whites in my print, unless the image demands it. I don't have any input on digital b/w conversions since I shoot b/w film if I want to shoot b/w. I don't convert color shots, film or digital. I also don't scan my b/w and I don't have any scans of my prints, but I do have some snap shots.
