Bought a great SLR as a first, turns out the frame counter is busted. It's not really a deal breaker, but now I'm left wondering what are the best ways make sure I'm not wasting any shots, especially after first loading a new roll. I'm assuming I'll be physically unable to advance after the roll is finished too?
Anyone have any protips for a new guy? Should I just waste a roll to try and figure it out? I'm trying to remember how many advances it usually takes before you get on your first frame, but I'm drawing a blank here.
