I've been mountain hiking for the past 3 years, taking mostly landscape pictures with my ZS200, but I also encounter a lot of animals in the Norwegian mountainside that I want to take pictures of, but I find the zoom of the ZS200 lacking.
Every list I see about an upgrade points me in the direction of the SONY RX10 IV. It's quite chunky in comparison, but not impossible to lug around for a day.
I'm wondering at that price point would it be just as well to invest in a beginner DSLR/mirrorless camera and telephoto lens??
