While with “consumer” films, you have have Gold and Colourplus (ISO200), Fuji C200, Ultramax 400, Superia Xtra 400 for when you want something punchy.
I agree that as long as you don’t shoot some completely expensive meme film, choosing based on roll price is silly when scanning and developing are the bulk of the cost.
But honestly, sometimes the “cheap” films have a better suited look for certain scenes.
