Does anyone else have favorite trees they think "someday" about? There's nothing special about this tree. It's just a tree surrounded by other trees for miles but it looks like a decent perch for a large bird, has no obstructions, and I can get an angle on it.
It's happened probably a dozen times over the years where I point at a tree like Babe Ruth and eventually see something interesting in it. Almost all of those trees have blown down shortly afterward though... it's kind of weird.
