And most teenagers and young adults are in a structrurely produced environment that lends it's self to forced socialization via High school and college. Once you get older your peer group shrinks a lot and without a lot of friends photography seems to have more appeal bc it is a solo hobby. So that is why you see more 25+ photogs. why would a 16 yo girl take up photog seriously when she could be out with all her friends on a weekday drinking starbucks and seeing the latest Hollywood film. Photog as a hobby is a hobby best done alone.
