Well, you can see a picture of a celebrity with harsh light and automatically say "hey, that looks like Terry Richardson". You can also tell all their subjects adopt an special relaxed easygoing attitude when posing for him. That's a merit of the photographer, and is another trait that makes his style so recognisable.
