First thing I did was straighten the horizon.
Then I evened out the exposure a bit, dropped the contrast considerably, and desaturated a hair. I felt like there was too much going on for the photo to be interesting and cropped it in a bit to make it more specific.
I don't hate the original, but these are just things I tend do in my process flow in an attempt to find the best expression of my photos.
