i bought an xt30 as my first camera because a friend had one and i liked how his photos looked. it's also very easy to use, has great colours and a lot of built-in effects and film sims which is well-suited for what i usually shoot (daily life, parties w friends etc.)
I also liked the aesthetics and build quality of the camera, and since i had some 1000 euros saved up (and found a nice pre-owned package deal with an extra lens and some other accessories) I wanted to treat myself to something nice and "premium" for once.
