#1 is -6 stops still some clipping
#2 is -3 stops
#3 is ideal exposure
#4 is same as 3, just set to infinity to focus to blur the highlights
in #4 we can see the true color of the highlights restored but when they're in focus they clip like crazy and no amount of curves helps, I have to do intense bracketing just to capture them but can't find any way to get them looking right in a final image.
Mediasonic probox btw.
Lots of comments talk about the meme brightness in the blue LEDs.
This is just one offender, but with a lot of shit going RGB these days I find similar issues in lots of scenes. Also this is on an angle, it's worse when looking head on to it. In that case it's easily twice as bad meaning the -6 would need to be like -12 to look about the same. My graphics card's RGB logo for example is impossible to faithfully capture/render since it has an RGB ROG logo on the side that's apparently as bright as the sun.
Is the only solution to use a flash to brighten up the surroundings? I'm trying to capture scenes as they're lit, so would prefer not to do that if it can be avoided. No way to dim these LEDs either.
