>>3952169>those who use it absolutely don't want the optical formula fiddled with. include me in that category too. just lovely rendering and keeps pixel peeping faggots awayYes, what I've seen in the way of test shots of that lens is absolutely gorgeous.
>if its like the 18mm f/1.4, utterly razor sharp wide open across the frame, in preparation for the 40 megapickle apsc sensors next yearGood point, I'd like to get in on that. Not next year, but a few years down the line when and if my skill set can make use of the extra resolution. The native 33mm may be more future proof, and the price might not be so bad considering it will probably be a relevant part of my camera bag for the next 15 years.
There's also a question of how I feel about buying Chinesium in general. I like more and more of them are making decent products instead of shitty knock-offs, but then they pull stunts like pic related which is in really poor taste and really turns me off from the brand. Is there an easy to find out where Fujifilm makes each of their own lenses? If it turns out it's real Nippon glass, folded over a 1000 times, that would sweeten the deal as well.
