I want to shoot portraits with it and use movements for depth of field effects, but I'm not sure if it'd be worthwhile if I'm just shooting with window light. Don't really have room in my home setup for a bigger lighting right.

At last a large format thread. Im planning on LF polaroids and dry plate as well, but I havent got much experience on LF besides the general operation and technical knowledge.

What do you guys think about field cameras ? Do you think its a good way to start getting into LF ?

I will be shooting still life and landscape, field cameras looks portable and comfy enough for outdoor work..thoughts?
