I managed to get an old FD 24-35 F3.5 L working.

I got exactly one roll of film through it - an Ektachrome 100 - and then dropped it and knocked it out of focus.

It was so fucking crisp. Even with bushings made of plastic scrap it was tack sharp, and the colour contrast was stunning.

Unfortunately, I've no scans of it since I can't scan slide.

I've found it to be far more useful than I expected from an F3.5 - once fixed anyway.

Images are fine and sharp and it'll be my holiday lens. And my con lens when there's enough light at an event. Or my flash works

Still. Looks mostly solid. Have spoken to a specialist by phone and he says it's likely to be fixable.

L Lenses are generally worth fixing. This thing was half the going rate of the usual Exc++ from Japan (Well, same item price - but no import duties, charges and taxes since it came from the EU rather than Japan - so no suspicion of defectiveness)
