You shouldn't let that stop you.
Fun fact, I was walking through this park in Bangkok and at 5 or 6 pm they played an announcement and song honoring the king on a loudspeaker and everyone stopped in place. It's like they were stuck in time. Then after a minute the speech and song ended and everyone went back to jogging in the park or talking to their friends, etc... Pretty surreal.
