I like Op's pic, but it looks indeed a bit washed out.
Strong colors or more like different tones are important for the human eye.
It makes a picture more interesting for your brain. You should have something of interest in every photo you take, or it'll just look boring.
Well i wouldn't call me a pro, since i just learned photoshop in the past years and started with photography like 6 months ago
What i am trying to say, everypne above you just fooled around with Photoshop or instagram filters.
