>>4264657Cinefag's advice seems a lot more legitimate than yours, dood. I didn't even give any advice but here I am, occupying your headroom for free.
I rarely if ever read or watch reviews, it's a waste of time. Rockwell's site is useful for quick feature comparisons but that's it.
>They know all the charts>(they might not know what they actually mean)I think that's you. You probably try to compare noise on dpreview without even bothering to make sure the conditions are equivalent.
>>4264667>A sony powershot (those with no manual mode whatsoever) from 12 years ago goes easily for over 150$ used, no battery, no charger. That's highway robbery, what country are you from? I remember helping an argie get a reflex off mercadolibre a while ago. How much does an Olympus Stylus 1 go for in your country? They're decent despite having no interchangeable lenses. Here's some samples:

>PASM modes>interchangeable lenses>optical viewfinder or electronic as a last resortIf you want to do video, then full HD 24p minimum.
My advice, seeing you're a poorfag is get a Canon with EF/EF-S mount. You can adapt all kinds of old (SLR) lenses to it. Pentax is solid as well if you don't care about video, but avoid Nikon. Nikon can only use its own lenses and if the camera isn't high end then you'll have limited backwards compatibility even within F-mount. Canon is poorfag friendly with the flashes too.
