I'd say a range of shots showing competency and creativity. Although getting the necessary shots like first corner and stuff too.
Really, it's who you know. I'm not pretending to be the fucking shit, but I've been doing this for a few years, but a friend can pick up a point and shoot and be given a media pass to the national drifting series because he's best mates with the media guy.
So my approaches are just warm and friendly, not demanding anything and fingers crossed even if I don't get anywhere, a few people remember my name!
