Hi /fgt. I got a problem.
This is an Asahi-Pentax Super Takumar 1:1.4/50 Lens. It contains radioactive thorium glass. The radiation isn't an issue. I had one of my friends with a degree in nuclear science assure me that the camera is able to shield most of the radiation. The problem is that the lens has yellowed over time. I read online that it could be put in the sun for a while to remove the color. But, I live in Chicago. The sun does not come out this time of year. Not to mention, it would likely end up jacked. Does anyone have an effective indoor solution? Thanks.
