>>3889287for a 20 year old digital camera, it's pretty good. it autofocuses kinda slow, but you can set a few preset distances for manual focus. it's gonna struggle in low light due to the lens being kinda slow (4.8) on the tele end, and the iso only going up to 400. you have no manual control over the shutter speeds outside of going into a menu and enabling "long time shot" mode, allowing you to lock it at 1, 2, 4, or 8 seconds. 5 megapixels is enough. i thought i would be held back by not being able to shoot raw, but the jpgs can be messed with quite a bit in lightroom. like most old ccd sensors, don't overexpose. the camera lets you set exposure compensation manually and have it persist even after the camera's turned off. you can even use this to kinda force higher shutter speeds by turning it all the way down. i like to set it to -0.7 of a stop by default to save highlights from getting fried. obviously the fit and finish are great, and it feels good in the hand. first generation sd cards only, but ~800 max quality jpgs on a 2gb card. i wish i could use filters. i think i might try to get the filter adapter for the T3 and glue it on to the lens front ring, if it'll fit properly. then I can use 30.5mm filters and probably some old wide angle conversion lens from some camcorder. here's a shot that was lightly edited in lightroom. the zeiss lens really makes all the difference, it blows other compacts of the time out of the water.
