>baselineYou mean base curve? In that case, I used to use their "D750" preset one instead of automatically applied "Nikon-like" but for these, I switched to "Nikon-like (alternative)" after noticing it matches camera JPGs better. Aside from that, I avoided changing more advanced settings like tone curve module and the like, outside of mentioning attempts to change color profile (which I agree I shouldn't do now). I admit I failed at finding too much info or resources/guides about handling Darktable at these tasks and mostly relay on own experimentations, only saw some videos on YT but their algorithm prefer to show clickbait ones first so no idea which ones are actually valuable and which ones contain 2h colour theory lectures before going straight to the point (and text is just better, I can't stand 2-5m long segments of mouse going in circles while voice-over narrates with lots of "uhm" and "eeeh").
But I will try to get back at that, now that I have more free time without any events on sight.
>like I said embrace and work with the lighting you haveSince light conditions would change dynamically between and during performances, I guess I will stick to auto WB when shooting and adjust later then.
>learn more about what the various editor adjustments actually do and how they workWill do. Thanks again. I really appreciate any opinions and suggestions since, outside of /p/ I don't really have anyone else to show my work, save for maybe my own mother and uncle.
