>>4216316its good, its my main camera. it's definitely not the best camera ever, in fact by modern standards its really not great. but it works and it has a nice look. its a good starter DSLR as it lacks many automatic assists, forcing you to learn the basics of the exposure triangle and such. only use it with canon DPP4 and not lightroom or darktable tho, those ruin the nice colours. you can definitely set up a preset to mimic it but why would you bother when DPP4 is free
>>4216319yeah if you didn't know, OP, some of the earlier ones had issues where the mirror falls out. its not that big of a deal, you can glue it back in. if the serial number begins with a 0 or a 1 then it didnt have the mirror fix from the factory. some were sent back by owners to the factory to get the fix applied, and you can tell if it's had the fix by checking the edges of the mirror for tiny L brackets that run from the front to the back of the mirror on both sides. by now though if the mirror was going to fall out it would have already. oh and you cant really check the shutter count on them unless you send them in to canon, so just assume what your buying has been fairly used. 5D's are pretty tough though.
