Remember that dedicated film scanners are all ancient tech because film left the mainstream in the early 2000s, whereas DSLR/mirrorless cameras have continued to improve. Maybe a 2003 film scanner will beat a 2003 DSLR, but not one from the last few or even ten years.
In the real world lots of people who still shoot film have switched to DSLR scanning because it just is better.
>>4119914>no argument>>4119929I find focusing manual lenses on my SLR and on my mirrorless digital different but comparable experiences. The SLR is better than focus peaking at 1x magnification, but being able to zoom in means the mirrorless will always focus more precisely if I have the time.
Fuji has some kind manual phase detection system going on although I don't know how well it works.
