Not sure what lenses you're using...but you should be getting more than a single stop advantage when dipping down to 35mm. My fastest MF lens is 2.8 whereas my fastest 35mm lens is 1.4. If you're only getting a single stop of more light by using 35mm then ya, stick with 120 for sure.
