the 85 is very much a portrait lens and is going to be a bit short for sports even on APS-C
the 85 is my lens to use while driving, perfect focal length for snapshits from the driver's seat and easy to point & shoot
I've been toying with bringing the 70-200 instead for the occasional zoom in but it's much harder to wield single-handed
I'll post some more pics with the 70-200
