>>4201343the gayfx is kind of a joke dude. outside of shitposting (because gear is fun to talk about or /fag/ wouldn't be the "talk about gear and post random snapshots" thread right?), there's nothing really wrong with not having the best ever technology or unreliable weather sealing for a hobby camera or something but the gfx100s is $5500 and the g lens ecosystem and its everything looks pretty desolate and low quality compared to hasselblad and their x2d100c. they're both buy it for the decade cameras for rich cunts and tax write offs, where anyone who could afford one could afford either, and they're buying the system and its support, so i wonder who is actually buying it
if its someone with a more normal camera expecting magic i feel sorry for them because if you don't use all 100mp all the time it's almost nothing and 100mp is a smaller increase over newer full frame numbers than you think, it's gotta all be in your head
9504 x 6336 to 11648×8736, or 7x8 extra inches of print, and a 0.21x crop factor advantage, in a time when we have AI upscaling, phones shoot billboards and commercials, and nobody is looking at a print that size from a foot away and expecting flawless quality so even that isn't needed. it's too niche. i guess you could crop a little more but it's still not that much and how often will you really, when dx medium format is not a good wildlife/sports photography system.
this 42mp camera is already too much but it was cheap and i can use my even cheaper minolta lenses with camera communication when the adapter shows up in the mail
heh
