What I mean by that is you need to literally engross yourself in all things art or at least the type that interests you fuck dude you don't even have to limit your self to art. study different cultures history and shit like that read some books. idk use some critical thinking when consuming media instead of worrying about spec sheets and what crazy newfangled camera jared polin is shilling at you

I suggest getting a small note pad and writing down your ideas and taking a day to shoot those concepts it doesn't matter if it's dumb cliche our above your skill level the whole point is to help you visualize and crate your ideas the more you do this the easier it becomes
Another thing you can do is literally copy whatever photographer interest you bc you might not realize this but the minute you start copying some mother fuckers work you might want to do something slightly different and boom you made it your own and nobody can tell you shit
