https://www.fujifilm.com/us/en/business/optical-devices/studio-field-lens/8k-studio-field-lens>The 18-55 2.8-4 from Fuji is $700>That canon lens is from a decade earlier and came free with $250 bodies.>Bit of a disingenuous comparison.>Compare the Fuji lens to anything current on full frame for $700 and it gets truly humiliated. The whole point is that it's the one crop format (apart for Pentax I suppose) that have pro level crop lenses. It's not just the kit, the whole Canon APS-C lineup is nothing but trash.
Your whole vendetta against crop and Fuji is just pointless. Here, I made a comparison using a normal zoom that's relevant for OP's use case. Turns out they all cost roughly the same for roughly the same noise and DOF performance. That's it. It's just a normal fucking camera system that does the same things as all the others at the same price point. There is nothing magic about the FF sensor size, it's just as arbitrary as all the other sensor sizes. Put the same amount of engineering into it and you get out the same picture, what a shocker.
The only problem with crop is that there are no f1.4 zooms on the market, and no practical f1 primes, whereas on FF you can spend a little money and buy f2.8 zooms and f/1.2 primes today.
