>Why did you start taking photos?
It might have something to do with a depression I had in my early teens. I was living in a poor post-communist shit hole and when I got my hands on a digital compact I naturally started snapping away. I had no idea what I was doing and nobody I knew was into it, so I was basically learning by experience and did not show my pictures to anyone. And yes it did give me a reason to go outside, I could see that it's a common theme. This is what got me hooked but my first experiences with a camera date much earlier into my childhood. I had a tendency to take pictures of random things I liked and parents hated me for doing that, saying that I was wasting the film just because people were not the central subject on them. Egotists. Pic related, it's one of my earliest slides and I believe it was the moment when I got first hooked on aviation. Not such a waste of film after all.
>What gets you in the mood for photography?
Most often it's solitude and the mindless zen-like state which brings out beauty in the common.
>What photos do you like?
I'm very open minded when it comes to watching the works of others but I normally stick to landscapes and aviation when shooting myself. There are hardly ever any people in my photographs and it would be great to start experimenting with that.
>What feel do you usually go for?
Pretty much mellow and neutral. I'm not into very emotional themes.
