By hardware controls do you mean the dials? If so, yes. They're my favourite thing about the camera by far. Having a physical dial for shutter speed and aperture make such a difference shooting, especially for someone who loves/has shot a lot of film on older style cameras. Being able to see my settings when I look down and being able to very easily change them on the fly is great. If I'm outdoors I'll use the "sunny 16" rule to expose and the clicky dials make it so easy to count stops.
