>>2581133I definitely see what you're saying. I'm always looking for new things though and to me that enough to keep it personally fresh. You could say that I have certain compositions and "feels" that I tend to repeat in different locations around the west, but I still feel like there's always something different about each image I take that makes it not a repeat. That may be coming from my biased view though and not visible to an outsider. I would hope people can see the differences in my images but your honesty is appreciated. That's why I come here after all.
As far as print sales go, I've pretty much given up on galleries. I could easily get my images into dozens of galleries all over Colorado, but the cost of inventory would be all on my and galleries would take their 40%. The biggest problem with a gallery is that they are not me. They don't know my work the way I do, they can't represent me the way I can. I make almost all of my sales by meeting with customers face to face, be it at art shows in city parks during the summer or by meeting with them at local Chamber of Commerce events and setting up times to meet with them at their office to discuss artwork. Galleries will never do that for you unless you own the gallery yourself.
Licensing is a tricky thing. I sell my images more on the fine-art side of things and I'm not sure my customers would like seeing their same image printed on a brochure that goes out by the thousands. When customers approach me with licensing ideas I usually work up a deal with them though.
