I mean what's the alternative, that your eyes see/perceive something out of the visible spectrum?
I think maybe the brain is tricked by it because you see a bright reflection but you can't detect the source light causing that reflection, since that is UV. So it looks almost as if it's "radiating" that colour. But that's like an optical illusion.
I mean, we can capture on digital even Cherenkov radiation and you think we can't do fluorescence?
