>>2960337>>2960352The rules are fine. There's been a long established optimal viewing size for web based browsing. A lot of platforms when they resize your photo do an ass job of it. When the sizing recommendations first showed up a lot browsers would resize it for you and your photos would look like shit. They also took forever to load. While this is less relevant now it's useful for many other reasons to limit the size of images floating around. For professionals and pre-professionals that size isn't very useful for making prints of for intsance.
