Remember, rearmost element to sensor is working flange distance, not mount to sensor. Zoom lenses often have very large flange distance, some of them even as large as dslr flange distances, while you get some primes that have a very short one, but there are peculiarities even among primes. For example. Fujinon 33mm f1.4 has rear element that protrudes from the mount, giving up closer effective flange distance that it's mount, compare that with Viltroux 33mm f1.4 for the same mount that has rear element that's much further from the mount, this causes longer flange distance.
