>>2963782I have the 8100, which scans at a maximum of 7200DPI. There's really no point in using it an anything less than that, since a 7200DPI scan takes hardly any time at all. The model I own doesn't have infrared dust removal which is a real pain in the ass, since I have to always make sure my negs are 100% dust free.
I mostly post to instagram and the web with mine, but I've printed at various sizes with it also.
Software wise, Vuescan Pro in combination with colorperfect is the way to do it.
