just got a canon ae-1 with two FDn lenses for $30 off the local ads. ad was actually for the two lenses, the kit 50/1.8 and a FDn 75-200/4.5, with the body being thrown in for free as garbage. well, just dropped a battery on it and it's actually working lel. meter seems to be out of whack tho, it's always reading as underexposing, and B doesn't stay open. anyone had the same issue with an AE-1?
ASA ring seems slanted and lifted off the body. probably not making proper contact with the resistor below. gotta get a spanner tool and take a look there. hope that sorts it out. needs a battery door too.
all shutter speeds seem accurate, so it can at least be used as a manual camera with sunny 16.
