>>3596112It's all about lens, lens, lens. Sensor size is important, don't go for MFT nonsense, but lens is also super important. You're not going to get that zoom range and good optics, it just isn't possible. If you do some reading about lens design (I recommend the lensrentals blog) and realize how complex it is to design even a good prime lens, let alone a zoom lens, you'll start to understand why this is an optical reality and not a shortcoming of any given system. Go look at any "cheap lens & expensive body vs expensive lens & cheap body" test. It's always the expensive lens that wins, because it's far more important. And if you want optimal sharpness, you need to be buying TOTL fixed aperture pro-level zooms and primes.
