>>4416428The R7 is probably the smartest buy IF you know you'll never need full frame. Basically the king of cope sensor cameras and it's not even that expensive.
I bought an R8 new off amazon. Returned it the next day.
Hear me out, because I was looking forward to the R8 so fucking much for a year+ after going from a 70D to an R50. The R50 and R8 came out at the same time, so I was expecting it basically be a straight upgrade in every way.
>Shot for about an hour in shady/sunny areas on a mild (28-31*c) day>Camera was 1/2 way up the temperature gauge before I even turned it on>Box wasn't sitting in the sun, and I was inside my AC'd room for 15 minutes prior unboxing>30 minutes in, I was at the red bars that immediately preceed the camera turning itself off due to an overheat>Start to realise how cheap and shitty the entire thing felt. Odd, my R50 felt rather nice and snappy>Battery dies after 35 minutes. What. Hmm, not unheard to ship items with half charged batteries>Pop in a spare. Dead in 25 minutes. What the fuck. >Only a few minutes of video to test the slow motion mode, and maybe about 100 photos all together and I went through two batteriesI decided fuck it, and returned it. The IQ was not worth owning a camera that was essentially a good sensor wrapped in a turd.
I'm saving up for an R6II at this point.
