personally I would look at an F90, super cheap, amazing metering and features, you literally can't get more camera for your money. For all intents and purposes it's an F100 with a bit more plastic.
If you go for their older bodies you will either have to get it cla'd or rely on an external meter, if this is all about aesthetics, sure get an old model with the clunky add-on viewfinder, they look fab. If you want to take photos, just grab a newer model.
