>>3646264It's the second copy I've bought. I took a punt on a cheap one last year from eBay - with a broken aperture. 9/10 it's just someone who doesn't know how FD mounts work. That one was the 1/10. The glass is in good order so it's now a spare's doner.
With things like this it's not really how good they once where - it's the condition they're in today. Canon's bearing material is utter fucking cheese - so most are shot, especially if some mong has tried to lubricate them.
4 decades is a lot of time.
As it is, this one looks good in the viewfinder and feels buttered-tits smooth in the hand - the photos will have to wait until current inconveniences are over.
If they put a red-ring on it idiots would ask for twice as much for it. Thank fuck they didn't.
